The Smithville Police Association kicked off Blue Santa last week as kids of all ages brought gifts by the Gazebo, filling up the back seat of a patrol car.

Lance Cpl. Cody R. Stanley, 21, of Rosanky, died Oct. 28 from injuries sustained after an improvised explosive device detonated while he was patrolling against enemy forces in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
