OBIT MooreRichard Moore, 79, of Bastrop, Texas passed away Saturday Jan. 16, 2010. He was born in Inglewood, Ca. on October 24, 1930 to Earl and Ruth Moore. He served as a B-29 intructor gunner at Randolph Field and was a retired electrical engineer for Tracor. Richard and his wife of 57 years, Mildred, were proud parents to 5 children; Charles, Victoria Barnes (Owen), Katherine Cassens (Charlie) Kenneth (Sheila), and Lisa Duty.  Along with his wife and children, Richard is survived by brothers Charles and Thomas Moore and sisters Ellen Wells and Carol Connaly along with 12  grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Ernie and Bob, and 1 sister, Patty Moore.

Rosary will be recited on Wednesday Jan. 20 at 7 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, Texas and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Thursday Jan. 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Richard will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions in Richard’s memory to the Catholic Relief Charities for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.
