Once again the Bastrop County Go Texan Committee has put together its annual Bastrop County Go Texan chartered bus trip to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

We lucked out this year in that Bastrop County night at the HLS&R is scheduled for Saturday, March 20. This will be the final round of the 2010 HLS&R. The entertainer at the rodeo will be Brooks & Dunn who are on their “Final Rodeo Tour.” The cost per person for the bus trip will be $60. This will include your bus ride to and from the HLS&R and your rodeo ticket.

Star Shuttle & Charter will be our bus line. We will catch the buses in front of First National Bank in Bastrop on Texas 71 at 9 a.m. and will arrive back home that night around midnight or so. We will arrive in Houston around 11 a.m. and the rodeo performance begins at 3:45 p.m. This will give you plenty of time to take in the carnival, sights and vendors before the rodeo performance.

We have limited seats, so purchase your tickets early. Seats will not be guaranteed until paid for.

All of the proceeds raised by the Bastrop County Go Texan Committee will go to scholarship awards for Bastrop County students. Besides the scholarship money we as a committee raise through our fundraisers, one of our Bastrop County students will be receiving a $15,000 scholarship directly from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
