Opal Marie Jones died January 24, 2010. She was born February 21, 1918 in Miles, Texas to the late Jessie Belle and Jessie Lee Allen. She was a member of Community Baptist Church, Stiles, TX.

Preceding her in death were husband Otis; daughter Joyce; her parents; and sister Billie.

She is survived by daughter Beverly Bull and husband Ross; sisters Gladys Sturgil and Betty Clifton of San Angelo, TX, Dorothy Cox of Commanche, TX, Shirley Bruton and husband Bert of St. Lawrence, TX, Wanda Ables of Big Lake, TX and Ruby Faust of Round Rock, TX; brother Jess Allen and wife Belle of Big Lake, TX; stepdaughters Beatrice Hyde of Midland, TX, Polly Young of Sylvia, N.C. and Leotis Johnston of Marble Falls, TX and their nine children and grandchildren; 2 grandchildren and their spouses; and 4 great grandchildren.

The funeral service was held January 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel, San Angelo, TX. The graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. on January 27, 2010 at Vashti Cemetery, Vashti, TX.
