5 Bryan Douglas Strong, 49, of Smithville, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010. He was born in Bastrop on Nov. 14, 1960 to Harrell and Peggy (Weaver) Strong.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Leroy Dyer and grandmother, Jocie Weaver. Survivors include his mother, Peggy Dyer of Smithville; father, Harrell Strong of Del Valle; sister, Kimberly Gladwell of Smithville; daughters, Brittney Strong of Conroe and Kristy Strong of Bastrop; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 10 at Trinity Baptist Church in Smithville at 2 p.m. with interment following at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville.

bryan was my cousin he was a very dedicated to his work and his family he always wanted to make sure everybody was ok, he was a character and i will miss him very much
Hellow Nilah and Katelyn … but neither of you posted an answer to my question …. who is Peggy Dyer, Bryan’s mother ??? It’s too weird that there is a “new” Peggy Dyer in Smithville, some 40 years after I left there to go to college at Sam Houston State and married Dick and moved to Houston .. I’m out in Arizona now, 2010, as Peggy Craddock Dyer Brock, Keith Brock’s wife of 16 years …
