Roundup will be held on April 6 for pre-kindergartners

The Smithville Independent School District and Smithville Head Start will be holding a Pre-Kindergarten Roundup for the 2010–11 school year on Tuesday, April 6 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. at the Brown Primary School Cafeteria.

Coming off quite an impressive 11-3 record, the Smithville Tiger varsity baseball team began district play with a couple of tough losses last week against La Grange and Sealy.
Tiger powerlifter gets second in state meet

On Saturday, Tiger powerlifter Brieon Brown competed in the state powerlifting tournament in Abilene, winning second place in the 275 pound weight class.
