A benefit for Don Schultz will be held March 14 at the Giddings Sons of Herman Hall. A barbecue meal will be served with all the trimmings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets for the meal will be $8 per plate. Dine in or to go plates are available. The live auction will be begin 1 p.m.

Paige Community Center News
There will be a Paige TEA Party March 5 at 7 p.m. at the Paige Community Center on Hwy 290.
Curtis Collier will talk on immigration; Luke Sheffield on national security; Dr. Theresa Kinsfather on healthcare; and Paul Fischer on duties of a county judge.
Willard Rother will introduce the speakers and he and his wife Sandy will play some music.
Everyone is encouraged to come.
Paige 4-H Club
The Paige 4-H Club will meet Sunday March 7 at 4:30 p.m. at the Paige VFD.
Barbecue To Go
Paige Community Center barbecue to go will be March 20 with pick up at noon. I had some sausage last year and it was very good. They will have all the sides, including homemade noodles, beans and sauce. Pork, chicken and sausage will be available.
Place your order by March 13 and pick up at the Paige Community Center at noon on March 20.

Music Night
The Fossils will play March 19 at the community center. Bring a covered dish, what you want to drink and your friends for a fun night of music, dominoes and cards. Hope to see you all there.
Calling all mystery novel readers
On Tuesday, March 23, Arlene Sachitano, an author from Portland, Ore. will be at Gerline’s Quilt Shoppe at 1383 CR205 from noon to 5:30 p.m. in Giddings, for a book signing. She will sign her recently released mystery novel titled “Quilt As You Go” as well as her first and second book in this series.
