A lawsuit filed last January by Aqua Water Supply Corporation against Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District came to a conclusion with a final judgment for LPGCD’s position on four disputed well permits.

A 15-year-old girl who allegedly aided in the killing of her mother last year will now be considered an adult in the eyes of the law after a ruling this week in Bastrop County District Court.

On July 27-29, Robin Ramsay, a coach at Smithville High School, will hold a Lady Tiger Volleyball Camp and a Lady Tiger Basketball Camp for incoming third to ninth graders.

Amy Nixon, a 2009 graduate of Smithville High School, has received a Transfer Scholarship and Odyssey Honors and Distinction Award for Professional and Leadership Development to attend Hendrix College beginning in the fall of 2010.
