As the legal proceedings continue in the multimillion-dollar lawsuit filed against Bluebonnet Electric Co-op over the 2009 Wilderness Ridge Wildfire, a central premise behind the fire’s cause – that a tree fell on a Bluebonnet-owned power line and thus sparked the flames – is now being directly challenged, according to recent court documents.
