Rachel Anzaldua, 44, and Christopher “Pa” Felix Anzaldua, 9, both of Bastrop, died July23, 2010.

Rachel Anzaldua was born on Nov.18, 1964 in Gonzales to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Salazar. She was preceded in death by her father, son Christopher Anzaldua and brother Rocky Salazar.

She is survived by husband Christopher Anzaldua, of Bastrop; mother Hope Salazar of Gonzales; son Ronnie Flores Jr., of Bastrop; daughters Ronnette Meraz and Relicia Flores, of Elgin; brother Joe Daniel Salazar of New Iberia, La., sisters Jo Ann Martinez and Charlotte Castro, of Gonzales and four grandchildren.

Christopher Anzaldua was born on Dec. 18, 2000 in Smithville to Christopher and Rachel Anzaldua. He is preceded in death by his mother Rachel, uncle Rocky Salazar, grandfather Felix Anzaldua and grandfather Joe Salazar.

He is survived by father Christopher, brother Ronnie Flores Jr., of Bastrop; and sisters Relicia Flores and Ronnette Meraz of Elgin.
