Barbara Phillips - Rosanky News
String Prairie and surrounding areas are very sad to lose Mrs. Odelia Rabel, who passed away at 101 years old.
Sincere sympathies go out to her son Carrol, sister Agatha Frerich and the rest of the family, including her two grandsons and three great grandchildren.

Tiner reunion an eventful one
My brother Clinton and I were invited to attend the Tiner reunion at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church fellowship hall in String Prairie.
The food and fellowship was great, and everyone enjoyed visiting with each other.
Unfortunately, while there, Eddie and Rhonda Bisland were told that their barn was on fire.
The barn burned down, and they lost a jeep, two four-wheelers, a pickup truck, a boat and other things. One positive is the fire didn’t hurt any of the horses.
I also purchased a Tiner family cookbook, so I will be including some of their recipes in my columns. This week’s recipe is one of them.
Tater Tot Quiche
1 (24-oz.) package frozen tater tots, thawed
1 (8-oz) package sausage
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 teaspoon Worchester sauce
3/4 cup swiss or mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup cheddar cheese
1/3 cup sour cream
1/2 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
2 eggs
Brown meat; drain. Add onion and pepper and cook on high for three minutes in microwave. Line pie plate with tater tots. Mix Worchester sauce with butter and brush mixture over tater tots. Cook five minutes in microwave. Mix remaining ingredients with meat mixture and pour into shell. Cook seven to 10 minutes in microwave.
