The Smithville Community Garden Dinner and Raffle Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Smithville Recreation Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are on sale at city hall, First National Bank, First State Bank and Prosperity Bank.
Tickets are $25 per person and include a dinner catered by John Chabot of Catering By Chabot and donated desserts provided by A Wedding Cake Company..
A raffle will also be held, including baskets of homemade pickles, jellies and other tempting homemade goodies.

Raffle items have been growing exponentially since this article was written! We now have a two nights at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort, an elegant dress and accessories from Patricia Wolf, gift certificates from several area restaurants, a weekend stay in November at the Pine Point Inn, and an assortment of other great items, like tutus, a roll of uncirculated dollar coins, yard art, and acupuncture. We have ten great packages in total, and folks interested in taking a look at them in detail can check the City’s website at: http://www.ci.smithville.tx.us/ and look for the latest blog posting.
