Ervin Franklin Blackwell passed away Aug. 30, 2010 at the age of 72. He was born Aug. 13, 1938 to Julius and Elsie Blackwell in Plum, Texas.

Ervin enjoyed camping, gardening, taking cruises and spending time with his two dogs, Mojo and Bo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Blackwell and his parents.

Ervin is survived by his son, Mitchell Blackwell and his wife Debbie of Smithville; grandson, Nicholas Blackwell of Smithville; granddaughter, Kendall Blackwell of Smithville and brother, Marvin Blackwell and his wife Geneva of Smithville.

Visitation is from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, Sept. 2nd with Rosary following at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, Sept. 3rd at St Paul’s Catholic Church, Smithville. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
