Alumni baseball game slated for Saturday

During their track meet in Columbus last Thursday, the varsity Lady Tigers faced a few obstacles, one being that they were missing a few athletes who were busy with other activities.

Lady Tiger Jaimie Kadlecek, a junior, was recently named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 3A All-Region IV Team.

The Smithville Tiger varsity baseball team continued its winning streak this past week, with a victory in Thrall, as well as getting second place in the Stanley Krist tournament.

The varsity Tiger soccer team played its last two games of the season last week against Elgin and Manor and was defeated due to uneven match-ups, putting them in sixth place overall out of eight teams.
